I for one visited a couple of great restaurants on the run up to Christmas, the one great place that stuck out for me was an authentic Spanish restaurant and Tapas in Derby called El Toro. If you live in the Derbyshire area of the UK and want fantastic service, this is the place to go. Our party opted for the Tapas menu and we were not disappointed! This link to the menu will give you a small idea of what was on offer http://www.eltororestaurant.co.uk/page2.htm and to be honest there wasn’t much from this menu that we didn’t try. I opted out of most of the meat options but still managed to eat loads – the food that sticks in my mind the most was the garlic mushrooms and also prawns cooked in garlic – fantastic! The waiters were great, food was fast and the Sangria flowed all night – my only disappointment is that I live 30 miles away and so can’t just pop in for a meal when I feel like it! I was delighted to open my presents on Christmas day to find that I had an El Paso fajita grill. I love fajitas, especially King Prawn fajitas. I am now searching the internet for some great fajita ideas so watch out for updates in the very near future! I also received a Pasta Machine hence the new pasta pages that you may have seen appearing on the site. Again I am hunting for articles and tips on how to make and cook the perfect pasta. If you have any tips, please let me know and I will share them with the rest of the world! My last food gift (apart from lots of Bailey’s liquor) was a Chocolate Fountain. I have to admit I am not sweet toothed or a chocoholic but this is something that I am looking forward to using when I host my Fajita night for the girls. Lots of Fajitas + Chocolate Fountain = very full girls not able to move! I would like to thank all of you that visit my site and who have subscribed to my RSS feed.
